Medicus PPTS of Iloilo – Nursing School in Philippines
Medicus in partnership with the Philippine Paramedical and Technical School (PPTS) of Davao, Inc., holds the record of being the first in the Philippines to offer a 16-months Practical/Vocational Nursing Course ladderized to 24- months Applied Science in Nursing with a US-based curriculum. It is committed to produce competent Licensed Practical/ Registered Nurses as well as other health related courses. PPTSDI and its sister schools (including Medicus-PPTS Iloilo) is accredited by the TESDA. It is the first nursing school visited by Gregory T. Howard, Chairman of the CGFNS/LPN standards committee. The school is located at the Gomez St., Iloilo City in front of Mansion Garden. It offers 24 months ladderized nursing course based on a US curriculum and 16 Months Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Practical Nursing of MPPTS is equivalent to the Practical Nursing in the US. The MPPTSI students are to be exposed for their clinical practice at the following hospitals: 1. Western Visayas Medical Center (Mandurriao, Iloilo City); 2. West Visayas State University Hospital (E. Lopez St., Jaro, Iloilo City); 3. Dr. Ricardo S. Provido, Sr. Mem. District Hospital (Calinog, Iloilo); 4. Dr. Ricardo Y. Ladrido Memorial Hospital (Lambunao, Iloilo); 5. Asilo de Molo (Molo, Iloilo City) 6. Medicus Condo Clinic (Iloilo City) MPPTSI upholds the following quotation, “MPPTSI is where people care for people.” At present, the school continues to expand service and facility-wise.
