De La Salle University Health Sciences Campus College of Nursing and Midwifery maintains a constant commitment to the propagation of the Lasallian values of Religion, Mores, and Cultura. With total trust in God, the College envisions itself as a community of Christian educators and leaders in the field of nursing and midwifery who firmly work in harmony and in solidarity with one another. Guided by the teachings of St. John Baptist de La Salle, the College seeks to produce professional nurses and midwives who are Christian in character and appreciative of Cavite history and culture. Moreover, it seeks to harness the transformative powers of the poor in the community towards a healthy way of life. To achieve the vision, the College maintains academic excellence by developing competent and confident faculty who are committed to lasallian values, utilizing creative teaching methods and research in nursing, acquiring updated facilities and equipment, networking with member institutions of the DLSU system, government and nongovernment organizations, and encouraging continuing education as a lifelong goal The Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree program molds students into community-oriented, Christian midwives and professional nurses who are caring, committed, confident, competent, and compassionate. Moreover, it prepares them to function as generalists at the first level of health care practice so that they can become effective members of the health team. Students in the program are developed in the professional nurses and midwives who communicate effectively with the health team, respond to national and global concerns, work for personal and professional growth and initiate research to uplift the quality of the nursing profession in the country. The associate in the Health Sciences Education (AHSE) program, as mandated by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), is being utilized as preparatory curriculum for both nursing and midwifery students. Only after the students have completed the AHSE program are they allowed to take the professional courses and/or requisites.
