Double victory for CNU – 5 in top 10, 98.08% passing rate

THE result of the July 2010 Nursing Licensure Examination was a double victory for the Cebu Normal University (CNU). Aside of having five topnotchers, the school also landed in the top 10 among the 209 nursing schools (with 100 and more examinees) in the country in terms of the national passing percentage rate.

But only a few schools in Cebu are faring well in the percentage of their students passing the exam with the rest having a passing rate of below 50 percent.

Based on the 2010 nursing exams, CNU obtained a passing percentage of 98.08 percent. Out of its 156 examinees, three failed in the exam.

The high percentage of CNU students who passed the nursing exam ranked the school in 6th place among the 209 nursing schools nationwide.

Dr. Daisy Palompon, dean of the CNU College of Nursing, said the school maintained its good performance where every year they landed in the top 10 in terms of the national passing percentage rate.
