Description:
The Las Piñas District Hospital has embarked on a Ten-Year Development Plan (TYDP) that outlines the conduct of the hospital’s affairs in the next ten years. It began with a searching analysis of its past activities to determine the needs of the population, the health status of the people, the manpower requirements which include the projected manpower needed and its budgetary requirements for the year 1997-2006.
Under the present set-up of the Department of Health, the Las Piñas District Hospital is the smallest hospital in metro Manila yet probably it has the biggest of dreams – from secondary to a tertiary teaching and training Medical Center to the Center of Excellence which is an adequately equipped hospital that can provide good quality medical and surgical facilities and services to the people of Las Piñas and its surrounding cities and municipalities. It is hoped that Las Piñas District Hospital, by the year 2006, be given the opportunity to grow and expand, to be not only a CITADEL for the injured, the infirmed and dying, but also be a Center of Wellness providing services and activities that protect the individual and his family from illness and preserve their state of health at affordable cost. By that time, health would be in the hands of the people.
