Filipino caregiver has been sentenced to 18 months in prison in London after hitting an 80-year-old woman in his care, with the abuse caught on camera. According to the London-based newspaper Daily Mail, Jonathan Aquino admitted to common assault and ill treatment of a vulnerable person after being shown footage from a hidden camera.

The footage showed Aquino striking Maria Worroll, who has Alzheimer’s disease, in the face, arms, and abdomen.

According to Alzheimer’s Association, the disease is a form of dementia that affects memory, thinking, and behavior.
