The Philippine League of Government & Private Midwives, Inc (PLGPMI) – a formidable group of midwives in the country accredited as Continuing Professional Education (CPE) provider by the CPE Council of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), and a proud associate member of the Union of Local Authorities of the Philippines (ULAP) – will enter a new decade as it holds its 11th General Assembly of Midwives on April 6-9, 2010 at the Manila Hotel with the theme “Midwives: Embracing Development, Coping with Change.”

The 11th General Assembly of the PLGPMI has the following objectives:

1. To provide continuing professinal education by discussing the latest updates on topics crucial to midwifery profession and extending beyond the issues that would affect their practice oin these global and national critical times.
2. To equip midwives with the basic knowledge and skills in character development, information technology, epidemology and disaster preparedness and management.
3. To build camaraderie and support among member midwives.
